A customer contacted Access Fixtures looking for an energy-efficient solution to illuminate a long hallway with memorabilia and collectibles at a Major League Baseball stadium. The baseball team frequently uses the large hallway as a reception area and holds events such as autograph signings. The customer required lighting that would facilitate an effective display of the memorabilia, which needed to stand out and draw the fans’ attention.
Effective display of collectibles starts with a high color rendering index (CRI) solution. The light source must be able to bring out all the colors in the memorabilia and render them accurately. An Access Fixtures lighting specialist recommended variable wattage LED high bays, which have a CRI of 70+ and superior light output. This high bay light is ideal for illuminating anything that needs to be seen, for instance, memorabilia.
Beyond high CRI and energy efficiency, the fixtures selected are rated for 100,000 hours, nearly eliminating maintenance. They are an energy-efficient solution to properly display the memorabilia as well as reduce maintenance costs for the stadium. Additionally, the LED high bay is qualified by the DesignLights Consortium and may be available for rebates from local utilities.
